The relic of St. John Paul II reveived with all religious and parishioners

Rev. Fr. George KA, the Rector of the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Health, Harihar, (Diocese of Shimoga) India, received devotedly the relic of St. John Paul II with all religious and parishioners on 11 October 2023.

The arrival of relic was a major event for the Catholic community in Harihar and many of the pilgrims came to the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Health to venerate it. The relic is seen as a symbol of peace and hope, and its arrival in India during this turbulent time is particularly significant.

In his homily at the Mass to welcome the relic, Fr. George KA spoke about the importance of peace and unity in the world. He said that St. John Paul II was a tireless advocate for peace and that his relic is a reminder of his message of hope and love.
