The annual Feast of Our Lady of Health at Harihar, celebrated with due solemnity on September 8, the Feast day of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary. Thousands of pilgrims of Karnataka as well as of neighbouring states visit to Shrine during the annual feast. Every year on August 30 is the ceremony of the Flag hoisting. In preparation to the Feast, nine days novena is observed from August 30 to September 7.
Mary, Mother of God is the mother of all generations, and she embraces everyone, without any discrimination of caste, creed, religion and language. On the Feast day, September 8th people gather in thousands, without any distinction of caste, creed or religion, from all parts of Karantaka and also from all over India to pay their homage to Our Lady.
